PARSONS – The Tucker Valley Middle School Football team hosted Romney on Wednesday September 22nd. The Wildcats jumped off to a fast start and never looked back as they picked up the big win at home 52-0.
Tucker Valley would strike first on a 11 yard touchdown run by Luke Barb. The 2 point conversion was good on a Keelyn Eichelberger run to give the Wildcats a 8-0 lead with 57 seconds left in the first quarter. Tucker Valley led after one quarter 8-0. The Wildcats then would score on a 60 yard touchdown pass from Sam Marks to Reid Kisamore. The PAT was good on another Eichelberger run to put the score to 16-0 with 6:53 left in the second. The homestanding Wildcats then got an interception to give their offense back the ball. Eichelberger then finished the drive with a 4 yard touchdown run with 5:09 left in the seconds quarter. The PAT failed to make the score 22-0 Tucker Valley. Another interception by the Wildcats defense set up a 50 yard touchdown run by Marks. Then the 2 point conversion was good on a pass from Marks to Eichelberger. This gave Tucker Valley a 30-0 lead with 2:48 left in the first half. The Wildcats would get one more score before the second quarter ended on a 1 yard touchdown run. Mikey Mitchell rushed it in from 1 yard out with 58 seconds left in the second to make the halftime score 36-0 Tucker Valley.
The second half would not get better for Romney as the Wildcats added a score in the third quarter and a score in the fourth quarter. Luke Barb would return the opening kick of the third quarter 72 yards for a touchdown to make the score 44-0 Tucker Valley with 7:48 left in the third. In the fourth quarter the Wildcats added another score as Cameron Judy went 67 yards for a touchdown run with 7:16 left in the fourth. Cayden Arnold scored on the 2 point conversion to put the lead to 52-0 Tucker Valley. The game would end with the score the same as the Wildcats pick up the victory by the final score of 52-0.
