WILDCATS GET VICTORY AT HOME OVER EAST HARDY 28-6

PARSONS – The Tucker Valley Middle Football team hosted East Hardy on Wednesday September 11th.  The Wildcats got a touchdown in each quarter and held the Cougars to 6 points as they got the win at home by the final score of 28-6.

Tucker Valley got things started early in the first quarter on a bubble screen pass that went for a touchdown.  Maddox Anderson completed the pass to Garrett Wilfong for the touchdown.  The PAT failed to make the score 6-0 Tucker Valley with 2:38 left in the first quarter.  The score remained the same at the end of the first quarter Tucker Valley 6 East Hardy 0.  In the second quarter the Wildcats offense struck again on a Maddox Anderson touchdown run with 6:11 left in the second quarter.  The 2 point conversion failed for Tucker Valley to up the Wildcats lead to 12-0.  The visiting Cougars got on the scoreboard late in the second quarter as they scored with 16 seconds left in the first half to make the halftime score 12-6 Tucker Valley.

The third quarter was back and forth until late in the third quarter when Maddox Anderson connected with Ashton Lycliter on a touchdown pass with 52 seconds left in the third to make the score 20-6 after a successful 2 point conversion.  The Wildcats would then score one more time to put the game away.  Maddox Anderson would score on a touchdown run with 7:00 left in the contest.  The 2 point conversion was good again by Tucker Valley to make the score 28-6.  East Hardy had no answer the rest of the game and the Wildcats moved to 2-0 with the 28-6 victory at home.  Maddox Anderson led the way for Tucker Valley as he had 2 passing touchdowns and 2 rushing touchdowns in the win for the Wildcats.

Tucker Valley(2-0) will travel to Pendleton County tonight September 18th with kickoff set for 6:30pm.  For more info visit TuckerCountySports.Com
