Tucker County Cross Country Host PVC Championship

The Girls’ and Boys’ Cross Country Team hosted the PVC Championship on October 14th at Canaan Valley Resort. Teams competing were Frankfort, Berkeley Springs, Keyser, Paw Paw, Union and Tucker County.

The Boys’ started the meet and took to the track. Top finisher was Steven Shetler from Berkeley Springs with a time of 17:36.59. Marcus Mason placed 17th overall with a time of 19:49, followed by Jack Melnick in 26th place with a time of 21:22. Other finishers for the Mt. Lions was Kenya Jones in 29th at 21:44, Josh Kincaid 34th at 22:12, Devon Anderson 36th at 22:44, Noah Nelson 41st at 23:38 and Nathaniel Radar 44th at 27:00.

In the Girls’ event Julianna Butcher from Frankfort took home first place with a time of 20:54.78. Tucker County placed 2 girls in the top ten. Madison Reall finished 6th overall with a time of 22:50 and Madison Mullenax was close behind in 8th place with a time of 22:59. Jenna White came in 26th place at a time of 26:32.

The next event for the Girls’ and Boys’ Cross Country teams will be the Regional Meet at Berkeley Springs on Oct. 23rd. For more info go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
