TUCKER COUNTY CROSS COUNTRY UPDATE

WEST UNION – The Tucker County Girls’ and Boys’ Cross Country teams traveled to Doddridge County for a 13 team event on Tuesday September 12^th.

Freshman Morgan Key was the top finisher for the Lady Mt. Lions as she finished 24^th place out 83 runners on a time of 27:06.05. Other finishers and times for the Tucker County Girls’ are as follows: 30^th Maya Paul(27:32.61), 31^st Karlee Smith(27:35.53), 48^th Natalie Evans(29:51.82), 57^th Mikala Betler(31:27.02), 65^th Zoe Nestor(33:16.76), 70^th Caitlin Fladung(34:06.76) and 72^nd Sarah Bates(34:32.99). The Lady Mt. Lions finished 9^th overall with a team score of 174 points among 10 teams.

Sophomore Will White was the top runner for the Tucker County Boys’ team with a 16^th place finish out of 119 total runners with a time of 20:39.29. Other finishers for the Mt. Lions were as follows: 20^th Jack Melnick(20:48.39), 33^rd Joseph Lewandowski(21:39.20), 50^th Jonathan Rhodes(22:30.29), 51^st Chris Chambers(22:30.
