Tucker County Commissioners sign a proclamation Wednesday declaring Sept. 21 to 27 as the West Virginia Association of Retired School Employees week. The association was formed in 1957 as a voice for retired teachers, school personnel, administrators and college personnel. WVARSE protects pensions, promotes senior opportunities and provides information for retired life, and it promotes professional, economic, intellectual and social well-being of its members as well as encourages volunteer opportunities. Signing the proclamation are Commissioners Diane Hinkle, Mike Rosenau and Lowell Moore. WVARSE members attending the proclamation signing include Carol Gwinn, Eleanor Nestor, Sylvia Rosenau, Millie Bennett, Aggie Arnold, Vonda Phillips, Evelyn Moore and Pat Usnick.
