Readers of Thomas rejoice, this colorful new storefront is featuring modestly priced used books as well as curious housewares and handmade works.
Nellie Rose Davis and Seth Pitt are the proud owners of Santangelo, which opened its doors for the first time today, Friday, October 6th. The shop is located between Cottrill’s Opera House and ThomasYard on Front Street in Thomas, and will be open Fridays through Sundays.
Although Santangelo joins a handful of other arts centric businesses on Front Street, it makes a new and refreshing presence in Thomas. The shop thrives on a wide array of ceramic pieces united by bright colors and vibrant rainbows with both local and national artists and makers are presented.
It can be said that Seth and Nellie Rose are definitely not afraid of color, because in addition to the exciting inventory, the shop itself is a work of art. The bookshelf might be the quirkiest feature, arranged first by genre and then by color. Although this system doesn’t aid in finding a specific book you may have in mind, it certainly makes it more interesting to browse.
