Timothy Lee “Tim” Gray, age 50 years, a native of Parsons, WV and more recently a resident of Nutter Fort, WV departed this life Friday evening, November 24, 2017 at Bridgeport, WV. He had been in his usual health and death was unexpected.
He was born Thursday, August 10, 1967 at Philippi, WV, a son of the late Odford Olin “Buck” and Margaret Pauline Tahaney Gray. Surviving are his companion, Carl Alkire of Nutter Fort, WV; one brother, Patrick Allen Gray and wife Lynda of Parsons; one sister in law, Carolyn Myers Gray of Parsons; two nieces, Kelly Pennington and husband Ben of Parsons, Sabrina Belcher of Elkins; and six great nieces and nephews, Grayson, Brailey, Abram, Gavin, Greylyn and Kinsley; and several cousins.
Preceding him in death is one brother, Gregory Lynn Gray. He was a graduate of Tucker County High School with the Class of 1985. He was a former employee of CVS Pharmacy at Fairmont, Canaan Valley Resort, EMT for Tucker Co. EMS, and a Dispatcher for the Tucker Co. 911 Center at Parsons, WV. He was currently employed for the F.B.I. Center C.J.I.S. Division at Clarksburg, WV, for twenty years. He enjoyed watching the Paula Deen Show, QVC, working on the family tree and was a collector of Fenton Glass. He was such a warm-hearted loving, kind person and enjoyed his family and friends.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons, WV on Wednesday from 5 to 8 PM. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at 11 AM. The Rev. John Morrison and The Rev. James Snyder will officiate, and interment will follow at the Parsons City Cemetery at Parsons, WV.
