The Davis-Thomas Girls’ and Boys’ Basketball teams traveled to Petersburg on Tuesday January 23rd. In the Girls’ contest the Lady Bears fell in the game by the final score of 42-10. Davis-Thomas was led by Nevaeh Nichols and Tory Paul with 4 points each in the loss for the Lady Bears. In the Boys’ JV contest Davis-Thomas fell by the final score of 33-18. Justin Robeson led Davis-Thomas with 7 points and Aaron Quattro added 5 points in the Bears loss. In the varsity game Davis-Thomas fell in the contest 54-37. Blake Anderson, Harper Russell and John Palmer led the Bears 7 points each.
On Thursday January 25th the Boys’ teams hosted Harman. In the first game the JV team lost by the final score of 30-25. Nick Roth led the Bears with 13 points and Justin Robeson added 6 points for Davis-Thomas in the loss. In the varsity contest Davis-Thomas fell short to Harman in double overtime thriller by the final score of 52-42. Zaden White led Davis-Thomas with 11 points and Blake Anderson added 10 points for the Bears in the loss.
The Davis-Thomas Girls’ and Boys’ team hosted Tucker Valley at TCHS on Saturday January 27th. In the Girls’ contest the Lady Bears fell by the final score of 39-15. Nevaeh Nichols led Davis-Thomas with 6 points and Tory Paul added 4 points for the Lady Bears in the loss. In the Boys’ JV game Davis-Thomas fell by the final score of 51-24. The Bears were led in scoring by Nick Roth with 6 points while Justin Robeson and Kaiden Hebb added 4 points each for Davis-Thomas in the loss. In the varsity contest Davis-Thomas took home the victory 40-28. The Bears were led by Harper Russell with 18 points and Blake Anderson added 13 points in the Davis-Thomas victory.
