MOOREFIELD – The Tucker Valley Boys’ Basketball teams traveled to Moorefield Middle on Wednesday January 2nd for a JV and Varsity contest. In the first contest the Wildcat JV team fell to Moorefield 41-26. Garrett Wilfong led Tucker Valley JV in scoring with 10 points. In the Varsity contest Tucker Valley picked up the victory in a close game by the final score of 38-35. Rory Nestor and Drew Steinman each scored 10 points to lead Tucker Valley in scoring in the victory.
ELKINS – The Wildcats traveled to Elkins Middle on Thursday January 3rd for 2 games. In the JV game Tucker Valley got the win in a tight contest 27-24. Gavin Mullenax led Tucker Valley with 10 points in the win for the Wildcats. Elkins Middle picked up the victory in the Varsity contest by the final score of 62.50. Tucker Valley was led in scoring by Dominick Mullenax with 14 points in the loss for the Wildcats.
Tucker Valley will host Gilmer County Middle School on Thursday January 10th at 6pm and then they will play Davis-Thomas at TCHS on Saturday January 12th at 3pm. The Wildcats will then host Kasson on Monday January 14th at 6:30pm. For more info go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
