TUCKER VALLEY BOYS’ BASKETBALL UPDATE

BAKER – The Wildcats Boys’ JV team opened PVL Conference Tournament play on Wednesday February 13th against Warm Springs. Tucker Valley took home the first round win 31-30. Tucker Valley was led in scoring by Garrett Wilfong with 12 points and Gavin Mullenax added 10 points in the victory for the Wildcats.

BAKER – The Tucker Valley Boys’ Varsity team opened PVL Conference Tournament play on Thursday February 14th against Romney. The Wildcats got the opening round victory by the final score of 51-39. Rory Nestor led Tucker Valley with 25 points and Ashton Lycliter added 14 points in the win for the Wildcats.

BAKER – The Wildcats Boys’ JV and Varsity teams returned to East Hardy Middle School on Friday February 15th for the PVL Championship games. In the first contest the Tucker Valley JV team fell in the JV Championship to Romney by the final score of 27-21. Racer Channell led the Wildcats JV team with 7 points and Jeremiah Wratchford added 4 points in the loss for Tucker Valley.

In the second game the Tucker Valley Varsity team got the win over Petersburg by the final score of 49-23 to capture the PVL Conference Championship. The Wildcats led 13-2 after the first quarter and Tucker Valley took a commanding 34-9 at the halftime intermission. The game was never close as Tucker Valley scored early and often in route to a 49-23 win. Rory Nestor led Tucker Valley in scoring with 18 points. Dominick Mullenax added 12 points for the Wildcats and Ashton Lycliter contributed 11 points for Tucker Valley in the victory.
