The following citation has been recorded in the Tucker County Magistrate office:
- Jonathan M. Smith, Hambleton, was cited for trespass with vehicle by WVDNR. He was assessed fines of $100 and court cost of $165.25.
The following criminal complaint has been filed in the Tucker County Magistrate Court:
- John Darden Stevens, Dry Fork, was charged with one count Driving revoked for DUI; one count Failure to maintain control; Duty upon striking fixtures upon a highway and one count No insurance. The complaint states that on Wednesday, Jan. 30 at approximately 3:45 p.m. Sgt. C.A. Teter was dispatched to a motor vehicle crash on WV32 near Tuscan Ridge. While en route to this call, emergency personnel on scene advised that the driver, John Stevens, had left the scene after refusing medical treatment and prior to officer’s arrival. Upon arrival Teter observed a two door green Pontiac Grand Prix located along the eastern side of WV32. The vehicle had fresh damage to the driver’s side front bumper and wheel area. He also observed a freshly damaged tree that was along WV32. This tree is part of the WV Monongahela National Forest. The driver of the vehicle had lost control, traveled across the centerline, ran off the left side of the road, hit a ditch line, struck a tree and then came to a stop a short distance away. After a DMV check of the driver’s license it was discovered that his right to operate a motor vehicle had been revoked for DUI with an active date of May 23, 2018. Teter was unable to locate registration or insurance documents for this vehicle. Stevens posted a $400 PR bond and has a court hearing scheduled for May 14 at 10 a.m. before Magistrate William M. Miller.
The following cases have been ordered and adjudged in the Tucker County Magistrate Court:
- Nestor verses Wesoloski: On March 19 the court granted judgment of Defendants to vacate by April 7 and pay court cost of $120 to Plaintiff.
- Nestor verses Burns: On March 19 the court granted in favor of Murl W. Nestor against J.J. Burns in amount of $1,350 plus $85 court cost. Plaintiff must vacate by April 1.
