THOMAS – The Davis-Thomas Girls’ and Boys’ Basketball teams hosted Union on Monday January 13th. In the Girls’ game the Lady Bears won the contest 45-14. Mackenzie Darby led Davis-Thomas with 10 points and Rachel Felton added 8 points for the Lady Bears in the win.
In the second game of the night the Davis-Thomas Boys’ JV team played Union. The Bears were down 21 in the third quarter, but Davis-Thomas came from behind to win the game 58-50. Carson Dearborn led Davis-Thomas JV team with 16 points. Cole Carr and Logan Shahan added 10 points each for the Bears JV in the victory.
THOMAS – The Davis-Thomas Girls’ Basketball team hosted East Hardy for 2 games on Wednesday January 15th. In the JV contest the Davis-Thomas JV team took the victory by final score of 41-25. Raven Matthews led the Lady Bears JV team with 14 points and Isabella Bennett added 12 points for the Davis-Thomas JV team in the win. In the Varsity game Davis-Thomas got the win also by the score of 50-34. The Lady Bears were led in scoring by Mackenzie Darby with 14 points and Rachel Felton added 11 points in the Davis-Thomas victory.
The Davis-Thomas Girls’ will return to action tonight Wednesday January 22nd at home against Moorefield. The Lady Bears will then host Petersburg on Monday January 27th. The Davis-Thomas Boys’ will travel to Romney on Thursday January 23rd for 2 games. For more info go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
