FRANKLIN – The Davis-Thomas Boys’ Varsity team traveled to Pendleton County on Monday February 17th. The Bears got the win in a tight contest by the final score of 39-37. Maddox Anderson led Davis-Thomas with 14 points. Justin Robeson and Bryce White added 7 points each for the Bears in the victory.
MT. STORM – The Davis-Thomas Girls’ Basketball team traveled to Union on Thursday February 20th to compete in the Union Tournament. The Lady Bears won the contest against Union 54-14.
Rachel Felton led Davis-Thomas with 23 points. Mackenzie Darby and Ericka Zirk added 10 points each for the Lady Bears in the win.
The Davis-Thomas Boys’ JV team also competed in the Union Tournament on Thursday February 20th against Aurora. The Bears JV got the win 34-32. Reid Kisamore led Davis-Thomas with 8 points. Kobe Bever, Cole Carr and Logan Shahan added 7 points each for the Bears in the win.
MT. STORM – The Lady Bears Basketball team played East Hardy on Saturday February 22nd in the Championship game of the Union Tournament. Davis-Thomas got the victory by the final score of 35-10. Ericka Zirk led Davis-Thomas with 13 points. Hannah Cussins and Mackenzie Darby added 7 points each for the Lady Bears in the win.
Hannah Cussins, Ericka Zirk and Rachel Felton were named to the All-Tournament Tournament team.
The Davis-Thomas Boys’ JV team also played in the Union Tournament Championship game on Saturday February 20th. Davis-Thomas got the win over Union by the score of 52-25. Cole Carr led Davis-Thomas with 15 points and Logan Shahan added 12 points in the win for the Bears. Cole Carr, Kobe Bever and Logan Shahan collected All-Tournament honors for Davis-Thomas.
The Davis-Thomas Boys’ Varsity Basketball team will compete in the PVL Tournament this week in Romney. Games will start on Tuesday February 25th with the Championship game scheduled for 7:15pm on February 27th. For more info go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
