Hedrick, 70 of Ravenna, passed away Friday march 13, 2020 at UH Portage Medical Center in Ravenna, Ohio . On December 17, 1949 he was born in Mackeyville, WVA to the late Burley and Tacie (Snyder) Hedrick.
Harold has lived in Ravenna most of his life and he retired from the Eaton Corporation where worked in the warehouse. He was a proud veteran of the US Army serving in Vietnam and was a member of the Stow American Legion. Harold loved riding motorcycles and wore his Harley Davidson shirts proudly. He enjoyed watching Nascar races and had a large collection of the M&M Car, his favorite! In his free time he attended gun shows with his friends and traveling with his loving wife who will miss him deeply.
He cherished his children and grandchildren. He loved spoiling them with dollar bills for their piggy banks, yummy snacks and hugs. If he wasn’t spoiling his grand kids, he was eating peanut butter which is why his nickname was “Papa Peanut Butter”.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Phillip Hedrick.
Survivors include his wife Brenda (Kepple) Hedrick whom he married July 10, 1982, his daughters Missy (Rob) Wright of Ravenna, Kristy (Rob) Kotrick of Fort Mill, South Carolina, his grandchildren Autumn (Josh) Gibson, Kyle Wright, Erin Kotrick , his great granddaughter Callie and siblings Burley (Barbara) Hedrick, Sandy (Don) Sanders, Sharon (Larry) Pillow, Bill (Janice) Hedrick and Sheila Hedrick.
Calling hours will be Sunday March 15, 2020 from 2-5 Pm at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel where funeral services were 11 a.m. Monday March 16, 2020. Burial with Military Honors was at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday March 17, 2020 at Ohio Western Reserve Cemetery Rittman, Ohio.
