City Purchases New Playground Equipment for Mill Race Park

At the recommendation of the Parsons Parks and Recreation Commission, the Parsons City Council agreed to purchase new playground equipment for Mill Race Park. This playset encourages imaginative, creative and social play, it has a wide range of play activities, and has climbers and slides designed to promote active play. It accommodates ages 5 to 12, handles approximately 35-40 persons, and most importantly is ADA accessible. This equipment is being purchased from Cunningham Recreation at a price of $40,000 including supervised installation. The funding for this project was secured through the William Mahan Harman Memorial Fund.
