Ernest Olie White

Ernest Olie White, 82, of Thomas, West Virginia passed away July 11, 2020 under the care of WV Caring in Elkins, West Virginia. He was born October 15, 1937 in Dryfork, West Virginia, a son of the late John Clyde and Bertha Grace (Kisamore) White.

He is survived by one son, Ernest Olie White II, two daughters, Eloise May White and Jennifer Grace White, two brothers, Howard Kisamore and Jerry White, three sisters, Kay Daniels, Donna Vandevander, and Doris Morral, five grandchildren, Jessica Thompson, Kayla White, Kara White, Krista White, and Levi White, and eight great-grandchildren, Zobiana and Aradia Dillsworth, Solomon Bissell, Renee Thompson, Paisley, Bunker and Kaiven Elkins, and Lylliann White.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Ann (Carr) White, on November 6, 2006, whom he married on July 20, 1963. Also preceding him in death is one grandson, Michael White, three brothers, Troy White, Ron White, and Johnny White, and one sister, Jean White.

Mr. White was a member of the Odd Fellows, Lions Club, FOE #936, NRA, and Mt. Top Hunting Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, four-wheeling, and spending time with his family.

Friends were received at Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home Tuesday, July 14, from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held, 11 a.m., Wednesday July 15, at Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery. We kindly ask all that are in attendance to wear a mask to follow the governor’s mandate.
