 Carolyn Suan Lambert, 79, of Bowden, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, July 19, 2020, at Mon General Hospital in Morgantown.

She was born on May 19, 1941 in Thomas, a daughter of the late Herman and Evangeline Phelps. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Glenomia Roth; and two brothers: John Phelps and William Phelps.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald H. Lambert of Bowden; two sisters: Judy Cummins and Ruth (Jack) Myers; two daughters: Precious (Kevin) Smith and Kaylene (Ken) Whitt; one son, H. James Hedrick, Jr.; two step-daughters: Becky (David) Smigal and Ginger (Kenny) Thompson; four step-sons: Ricky Lambert, Mike (Linda) Lambert, Terry Lambert and Ken (Jim) Lambert; ten grandchildren: Daniel (Ashley) Smith, Kelsea Smith, Joshua Smith, Kaytlin (Jonathan) Entenmann, Shelby Wilmoth, Thomas Hedrick, Jesse (Gabrielle) Hedrick, Andrew Hedrick, Markus Whitt and Skylar Whitt; three great-grandchildren: Reid Smith, Eastyn Entenmann and Killian Hedrick; four step-grandchildren; 3 step-great-grandchildren and several special nieces and nephews.

Carolyn was a graduate of Mountaineer High School. She retired from Blackwater Falls State Park and was a member of Community Bible Church in Davis. She enjoyed art and was known for her creativity. She loved her family, who will cherish her memory for many years to come. A private service will be scheduled at a later date.
