Ernest Edwin “Ed” Arnold, 75 of Thomas, WV died October 12, 2020 at Genesis HC – Madison Center in Morgantown, WV. He was born on December 23, 1944 in Eglon, WV a son of the late Ernest William Arnold and Lucille Maxine Lemasters Arnold. Also preceding him in death was his wife, Romaine Carol Arnold, whom passed on August 15, 2015, two brothers, Clifford “Buck” Arnold and Bernard “Buzz” Arnold, and one sister, Janice Loughrie.
He is survived by one son, Darin Arnold, wife Sarif and their son Dash, Tuscaloosa, AL, one daughter, Theressa Eskridge, husband Joey and their son Grayson, Reedsville, WV one sister, Carolyn Thrasher, Newnan, GA, brothers and sisters in law, Roy Helmick wife Phyllis, Canaan Valley, WV Carl Canon and wife Janet, Thomas, WV, Betsy Whitehair and husband Ferman, Davis, WV, Deanna Arnold and Doris Arnold both of Aurora, WV.
Ed retired after a career as a certified welder. He enjoyed target practice and shooting the breeze with whomever would listen.
Friends were received at Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home, Wednesday, October 14, from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services were held 11 a.m., Thursday, October 15, at Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home with Rev. Brad Spencer officiating. Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
