Gary Michael “Mike” Carr

Gary Michael “Mike” Carr, age 65 years, a resident of the Blackman Flats Community, Hambleton, WV and for the past 2 ½ years a resident of Cortland Acres at Thomas, WV, departed this life Thursday afternoon, October 22, 2020 at Cortland Acres at Thomas, WV.  He had been in declining health.

He was born Saturday, October 30, 1954 at Akron, OH, a son of the late Harry Earl and Maxine Savilla Heckler Carr.

Surviving are three brothers, Richard Carr and wife Chris of Akron, OH, Russell Carr and wife Wanda, North Canton, OH and Thomas Carr and wife Tammy, of Akron, OH; one sister, Londa Whittaker-Mick of Stow, OH;; and nieces and nephews, Jennifer Jenny Renay Akins-Moffatt, Therece Shnea, Forest Whittaker, Stormie Meloy and J.R. Barkley.

Preceding him in death are two sister, Cheryl Lou Carr Lansberry and Mari Jane Barkley; and one niece, Martyna Cordia.

He attended the schools of Akron, OH.   He was a loving Son, Brother, and Uncle.  He enjoyed working on small engines, re-building wagons and singing.
The family request for cremation will be honored and inurnment will follow at the Mountain State Memorial Gardens at Gilman.  The Lohr & Barb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Gary Michael “Mike” Carr.
