Turner’s Tidbits

This is a group of folks at the Sugarlands Church. The church was built in 1896; Aldolphus Fike was the Chairman of the Building Committee. The first trustees were: A. D. Helmick, Samuel Hile, and James Helmick. Other trustees include: Earl Knotts, Elwood Knotts, Ronald Knotts, Robert Phillips, Abraham Helmick, Henry Helmick, Dewey Phillips, and Charles Helmick. Those identified are front row, first girl is Lizzie Helmick, fifth girl is Grace Helmick, eighth child boy is Lewis Helmick, tenth child boy is Harry Helmick.
