This is a photo of James “Sam” Wolf, he was the son of George and Ella Wolf. Sam was married to Arra. They had twin daughters Mary Ellen and Martha Elizabeth; they both passed shortly after birth. Arra was a sister to Mrs. Hugh “Mary” Shiflet. Sam’s mother, Ella was a daughter of Frederick and Amelia Tazel Luessow (1870-1956) of Thornton, Taylor County, WV. Ella was married to George Wolf, Sr. February 24, 1892. They would recall that the day they were married the Peach trees and early spring flowers were in full bloom and the roads were dry and dusty.
