Edgar George Watring

Edgar George Watring passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 3, 2021.

He was born on Monday, March 24, 1975, in Winchester, VA., to Elmer and Sandra McCusker Watring.  Edgar resided in Beverly, WV.
Edgar is survived by his parents and two brothers, Hubert Watring and Joseph Watring and Joseph’s wife Amy Watring, all of Hedgesville, WV.  He has one nephew Jacob Watring and two nieces, Lindsay and Jada Watring.  He had multiple aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Edgar graduated from Tucker County High School and was employed at Bruce Hardwood in Beverly.  He proudly served in the United States Army from 1993 to 1998, coming out as a Sergeant.  Edgar loved to hunt, fish and just enjoyed being outdoors at his cabin on Cheat Mountain.

Edgar is preceded in death by his grandparents, Elmer and Betty Lou Watring and Robert and Aura McCusker.  He was loved and will be missed dearly by many.

The family received friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons on Saturday, August 7, 2021, from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon.   Final rites was conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 12 Noon.    Ann Mazingo, Layspeake officiated and interment followed at the Rose Hill Cemetery at Thomas, WV., where the WV Honor Guard, the H.W. Daniels Post #29 American Legion, the Tygart Valley Post #3647 Veterans of Foreign War and the Tucker County Veterans Association conducted full military honors.  The Lohr & Barb Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements for Edgar George Watring.  Condolences may be expressed to the family at; www.lohrbarbfuneralhome.com.
