Children all over Tucker County were invited to be part of the musical “Amazing Grace” that is going to be performed in the auditorium at Tucker County High School on May 31 at 7 p.m. and June 1 at 2 p.m.
Becky Poling, a very talented local musician, is singing the lead role of Grace and a chorus of 15 children ranging in age from four to 12 years old from many different churches is involved as well. The musical “Amazing Grace” presents a meaningful message with songs that are not only entertaining but enlightening. Sisters Katie and Addie Hicks each sing solos and then as a duet in the song “Grace is Alive and Well”, Cassie Davis has a solo in the song “Let’s Say Grace”, and Kristen Hicks sings the solo in “Vitamin G”. All the chorus members are students at Tucker Valley Elementary Middle School. The singers have been practicing for several weeks under the direction of Carla Anderson and Marcia Evans.
Tickets are not required as both performances are free to the public, so make sure to treat yourself and your family to either or both performances of “Amazing Grace”.
