Wanda Jean Bennett Miller, age 88 years, a resident of Parsons, WV departed this life Monday evening, October 4, 2021, at Cortland Acres at Thomas, WV. She had been in declining health for the past four years.
She was born Wednesday, January 25, 1933, at Parsons, WV, a daughter of the late Robert Dayton Bennett and Bertha Jane Flanagan Bennett. On March 23, 1954, at Parsons, WV, she was married to Jason Phelix Miller, who preceded her in death April 22, 2021. They had celebrated sixty-seven years of marriage.
Surviving is one daughter, Helen Jean Harris and husband Dennis of Hambleton; a very special friend, Mark Crosten, who was just like a son; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family having been preceded in death by one brother, Wallace Bennett; and three sisters, Helen Bennett, Marie Ball and Velma Putzulo.
She was a graduate of Parsons High School. She was a homemaker. She worked as a telephone operator for a short period of time before her marriage, and then she moved to Missouri, while her husband was in the military. She was very religious and enjoyed watching religious television shows, reading her Bible and she loved the Lord. She was an immaculate housekeeper. Wanda loved her family and taking care of them.
A Graveside service was on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at 12 Noon at the Parsons City Cemetery at Parsons, WV. Rev. Kevin Keplinger officiated and interment followed.
