Charles Wesley Lipscomb, 73, a resident of Etam, passed from this life Saturday, January 22, 2022, at the home of his sister, Barbara Johnson, in St. George.

Charles was born Friday, September 7, 1948, in Erwin, a son of the late Jack Lipscomb and Glenda Mae Bennett Lipscomb.

Left to cherish Charles’ memory is his daughter, Alicia Lipscomb and companion, Elvis Zinn, Jr. of Kingwood, his sister, Barbara Johnson and husband, Jimmy, of St. George, two grandchildren, Alexandria Brand and Jaxon Jordan, several nieces and nephews, and his faithful companion, his dog, Buckeye.

Preceding Charles in death besides his parents were two sisters, Vickie Jones and Betty Ridenour.

Charles attended the schools of Preston County.  He had worked for several gas well companies, Forman’s Construction, and Sypolt Sawmill.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and visiting people.  He was always on the go and loved to help friends and neighbors.

Visitation was held at Hostetler Funeral Home on Thursday, January 27, 2022 from noon until 1 p.m., the funeral hour.  Interment followed in Fairview Cemetery at St. George.  The Hostetler Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements for Charles Wesley Lipscomb.
