DAVIS-THOMAS GIRLS’ & BOYS’ BASKETBALL UPDATE

PETERSBURG – The Davis-Thomas Girls’ and Boys’ Basketball teams traveled to Petersburg on Wednesday January 26th.  In the first game the Lady Bears fell to Petersburg 38-8.  Davis-Thomas got the win 31-7.  Isabella Bennett, Izzy Kitzmiller, Emmy Cangley and Zoe Davis scored 2 points each for Davis-Thomas in the loss.

In the Boys’ JV game the Bears JV team picked up the win by the score of 42-21.  Emmet Felton led the Davis-Thomas JV with 16 points and Drew Simmons followed with 14 points in the Bears JV win.

In the last game of the evening the Bears Varsity fell to Petersburg by the final score of 40-30.  Carson Dearborn led Davis-Thomas with 11 points and Reid Kisamore added 7 points for the Bears in the loss.

 

ROMNEY – The Lady Bears took to the road for a makeup game at Romney on Thursday January 27th.  The Lady Pioneers from Romney pulled away for the victory over Davis-Thomas by the final score of 27-15.  Izzy Kitzmiller led the Lady Bears in scoring with 8 points and Emmy Cangley chipped in with 5 points for Davis-Thomas in the loss.

 

The Davis-Thomas Girls’ and Boys’ Basketball teams will return to action on Thursday February 3rd at home for 8th grade recognition night against Romney.  The first game of the night will start at 5pm.  Both teams will then host Warm Springs on Saturday afternoon February 5th with the first game starting at 1pm.  For more info go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
