HAMBLETON – The Lady Wildcats hosted Tygarts Valley for a JV and Varsity contest on Wednesday February 2nd. In the JV game Tucker Valley fell as Tygarts Valley hit a shot at the buzzer to give the Lady Bulldogs JV the win 22-20. Ava Wilfong led the Tucker Valley JV with 10 points and Lela Wright added 6 points in the Lady Wildcats JV loss.
In the Varsity game Tucker Valley trailed 5-0 after one quarter, but the Lady Wildcats pulled ahead to a 10-9 lead at the halftime break. Tucker Valley also led 20-18 after three quarters and the Lady Wildcats pulled away in the fourth to capture a 32-26 victory. Makenna Evans led Tucker Valley with 22 points and Peyton Hicks added 6 points in the Lady Wildcats win.
Tucker Valley will open PVL Tournament play on Thursday February 10th at home against Pendleton County at 5pm. For more info go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
