Due to bad weather on August 1, 2022, we have rescheduled the county-wide picnic for Monday, August 15, 2022. It is scheduled for the same time (10:30a.m.) at the same place (Hendricks Park). You are still supposed to bring a side dish or a dessert to go with the things the Parsons Center provides. Please come and join us for food, fun, and fellowship. We might even have a few surprises for you.
The trip to Stonewall Lake near Weston is August 23th. The boat trip is 2 hours and includes a taco bar lunch. The motor coach will pick up at Cortland Acres in the back lot that is marked “Blackwater” at 11:30 a.m. The motor Coach will leave Parsons at noon.
The next trip to the Gandy Dancer Theatre is Saturday, October 22, 2022. The doors open at 5:30 p.m., dinner at 6:00 p.m., and show at 7:00 pm. The prices will be the same as the July trip. The meal for this show includes rotisserie chicken breast, BBQ pulled pork, coleslaw, parsley potatoes, baked beans, dinner roll, dessert, and beverage. If you have your own transportation the cost is $38 and if you want to ride on the van the cost will be $45. You may begin signing up and/or making payments any time now. The final day to make reservations or payments will be October 10, 2022.
The Farmer Market vouchers are now available at both Centers during regular operating hours. You need to provide your name, address, phone number, birthdate, and income.
St George Outpost will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. Please bring your favorite covered dish and join us for great food and fellowship.
