The following criminal complaint has been filed in the Tucker County Magistrate office:
Juan Carlos Berrios, of Parsons, has been charged with one count of Domestic Assault and one count of Destruction of Property. According to the complaint, on Saturday, Oct. 21 Trooper E.W. Clark responded to an active domestic. Prior to his arrival he was informed that the defendant, Juan Carlos Berrios, had fled the residence. Clark was also informed that the defendant had an active warrant from the state of California with full extradition.
Upon arrival Clark searched for the defendant outside the residence. Unable to locate him, Clark enter the residence and spoke to the victim, identified as Dani Ana Merys. She told Clark that she and the defendant were in an argument and he became irate, allegedly threatening to stab her while reaching into his pocket. She stated she knows the defendant carries pocket knives and she was in fear for her safety
Upon searching the area, Clark discovered the victim’s vehicle, described as a 2021 Honda Pilot, displaying California registration had two flat tires on the passenger side of the vehicle. Clark discovered that each damaged tire had a two inch cut in the sidewall. The victim was informed.
