Davis, W.Va. — With summer nearing its end, the Tucker County Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) reminds residents and visitors there is still ample time to explore the county’s beauty and win a prize in the annual “Get Tuckered” Scavenger Hunt. The deadline for participation is October 31, 2024, giving adventurers a chance to discover unique landmarks and experience the changing fall foliage.
This year’s scavenger hunt boasts an even more enticing prize — a $500 gift card, double the amount offered in previous years. Participants can pick up passports at the Tucker County Visitor Center, Vacation Rental offices, Canaan Valley Resort State Park, Blackwater Falls State Park or Parsons City Hall. The objective is to visit five designated locations and collect corresponding stickers, completing the passport for entry into the prize drawing.
“The final stretch of summer and the upcoming fall foliage offer spectacular backdrops for exploring Tucker County,” said Jessica Waldo, Executive Director of the Tucker County CVB. “The scavenger hunt allows participants to discover the unique charm of our region while offering the chance to win a $500 prize.”
Participants are encouraged to share photos of their favorite stops on social media using the hashtag #GetTuckered.
