The Davis Thomas Bears traveled to the Eastern Panhandle to take on Capon Bridge Middle School. The JV team got things rolling in a close bout; the Bears fought to the very end but fell just short against the Wildcats, 32–21. B. White led the way for the JV Bears with 5 points, while E. Baker, N. Herron, and M. Drenning all chipped in 4 points apiece.

The Varsity game proved to be a barnburner, with the Bears leading at the end of every quarter except the fourth. Davis Thomas led 11–9 at the end of the first, 25–22 at the half, and 33–30 going into the fourth. However, the Bears scored just 3 points to Capon Bridge’s 14 in the final period, ultimately falling to the Wildcats 44–36.

K. Kerr led the Bears with 11 points, and E. O’Brien contributed 8. J. Dearborn and N. Luzier both scored 7 points each. The Davis Thomas Bears return to action on December 30th when they host Terra Alta Middle School.
