Present for the proclamation signing were: Backrow L to R—Amy Owens and Bar-bara Simmons from North Central Community Action Agency; Cindy Kolsun, Exec-utive Director of PRO/On Trac; Leann Frymyer; Delton Rhoades, Evan’s brother; Rev Boggs of The Rivers Church, Mike Simmons, City Administrator; and Debbie Stevens, President of PRO/On Trac. Seated: Mayor Kolsun and Angie McCrum, the organizer of Rhoades to Recovery.

Mayor Bruce Kolsun signed a proclamation today in honor of the Rhoades to Recovery Initiative which has been established by Angie McCrum. This organization honors Angie’s son, Evan Rhoades, who died from alcohol abuse. Angie recognizes that alcohol and other drugs are being abused by young people who are harmed or even die from this horrific addiction. Mayor Kolsun thanked Angie for her efforts, and he is honored to wear a T-shirt in Evan’s memory with the logo often said by Evan, “let’s keep on trucking, bro.”
