On January 6, 2015 Everett William “Smitty” Smith passed away. He was the beloved husband of the late Elva Louise “Jean” Smith; devoted father of Linda Heinbaugh, Everett Randolph “Randy” Smith, and Jennie Haller; loving pop of many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a great-great grandchild; son of the late Charles and Nella Smith; dear brother of the late Virgil, Ray, Charles, Lee, and Grover Smith, Nona Soats, Kerma Leary, and Clara Beckner. He was the former owner of Glen Arm Lumber Co. True Value of Glen Arm. He was an honorary member of the Long Green Volunteer Fire Company. He was also a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, VFW, and American Legion.
Relatives and friends were invited to visit at Schimunek Funeral Home Inc., 9705 Belair Rd. Nottingham, MD 21236 on Friday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. and Saturday from 10-12:30 p.m. where funeral service will be held on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. Interment followed at Fork Christian Church Cemetery.
