Harrisonburg Rock Band Spilling Dew to perform at The Purple Fiddle for July 4th

THOMAS, WV — Harrisonburg, Virginia rock band Spilling Dew will play The Purple Fiddle in Thomas on Friday, July 4th — their first-ever appearance at the beloved Tucker County venue.

The show comes on the heels of the band’s recent release of The Best Mess Ever, an album recorded in the late 90’s and shelved for nearly three decades before finally seeing the light of day in 2026. The record’s unlikely resurrection — and the story behind it — has drawn attention well beyond the Shenandoah Valley.

Spilling Dew plays high-energy rock and alternative with plenty of groove, the kind of band built for a summer holiday crowd. Expect a full evening of original material alongside the energy that comes with a band that’s been making music together, on and off, since the mid-90s.

The Purple Fiddle is located at 96 East Ave in Thomas, WV. Spilling Dew will play two sets starting at 8:30pm and another right after the fireworks. FREE SHOW! For more information, visit https://purplefiddle.com/ and https://spillingdew.com/.
