
Fred Harvey Tuesing, 80, a resident of Hambleton, passed from this life Monday, August 10, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loving family and under the care of Mountain Hospice.
Fred was born Monday, July 8, 1946, in Hambleton, a son of the late Fred Amber Tuesing, and Bessie Racheal Summerfield Tuesing. On July 12, 2003, in Hambleton, he married Penny Allender Tuesing, who survives. They had celebrated 23 years of marriage..
Left to cherish Fred’s memory are four living daughters, Mellissa Beth Suzuki, JaCinda Tuesing Zeiders, Bonnie Sue Bryant, and Misty Dawn Ritter, 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, a sister, Karen Pyles, and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding Fred in death besides his parents was a daughter, Racheal Lynne Tuesing Traw, three brothers, Ray A. Tuesing, Roy A. Tuesing, and William Thomas Tuesing.
Fred attended Tucker County schools. He was a heavy equipment operator with Local 132, and United Steel. Fred had worked for several area companies including R. H. Armstrong, WV Paving and Buffalo Coal from which he retired. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Fred loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
Fred’s request for cremation will be honored. A graveside service will be held at Fansler Cemetery in Hendricks at 11 a.m. on August 22, 2026. Immediately following will be a Celebration of Life at Blackwater Falls State Park at the Pendleton Point Pavilion.
