The Parsons Senior Center Outpost was at the center on April 1, 2014.

Evelyn Moore welcomed everyone to the center.

Everyone repeated the Lord’s Prayer together, gave the Pledge of Allegiance and sang “God Bless America”.

Minutes of the March meeting were read by Jean Morrison and were approved as read.

April birthdays are Ruth Bohon, Rita Roberts and Pam Nestor. They all sang “Happy Birthday” to them.

Evelyn Moore held up a sign that said “Happy New Year” and then read a story “April Fool’s Day”, Jean Morrison read “April Fooling”, Linda Bonner read “Special Easter Basket”, “Song of Easter was read by Judy Fairbanks.

Sam Eichelberger introduced De. Eddie Campbell, Superintendent of Tucker County Schools. Dr. Campbell presented information of the Tucker County Levy for Education that is on the May 13 ballot.

He explained what the levy would pay for and the small amount that our taxes would raise. Mr. Lambert and Mr. Hicks passed out flyers that explained the information.

Sam introduced Mont Miller and his Quartet from First Church. Others were Deanna Canfield and Dana Corcoran.

They sang “Halleluiah, He is Risen”; “ “Put a Little in Your Heart”; “Jesus built a Bridge”; “ “Lord’s Prayer”; “A Glorious Day”; “ Then Came Morning”; “ Jerusalem”; “ Christ Arose” and “Daniel Prayed”.

Sam reported that Hospice Care will be at the Senior Centers on a schedule to take blood pressure.

All gave the blessing together before a delicious lunch.
