The Tucker County Senior Citizens held their monthly Outpost at the Parsons Center on June 4, 2018. Evelyn Moore welcomed everyone. Everyone recited the Lord’s Prayer, gave the Pledge of Allegiance, and then sang “God Bless America.”

Those having a June birthday were recognized. They were: Rosie Moore, Sharon Daniels, Pat Bonner, Sylvia Moyers, and Betty Knotts.   The group then sang “Happy Birthday” to them.

Linda Bonner read the minutes of the previous meeting and they were approved as read.

Evelyn Moore read “Remembering Dad” and Linda Bonner read “Wave on Flag.”

Linda then made a few announcements before introducing our guest for the day. Dr. Don Smith from Philippi did a magic show titled “Magic Happens.”

Dr. Smith made a rabbit appear in a hat, made Kool-Ade of different colors from the same pot, made numbers magically appear on a restaurant menu, guessed the number someone was thinking of, made peanut butter and jelly containers reverse places, and did memory lights and mysteriously made them go out by just blowing on them.  A fun time was had by all.

Door Prizes were awarded to: Lee Johnson, Rosie Moore, Debbie Simmons, and Phyllis Garcia.

The group asked grace together and a delicious meal was shared by all.
