The travel committee will be meeting on Monday, August 9th at Mt. Top Center. We will be discussing plans for our future trips. If you have any suggestions, feel free to call the Center at 304-478-2423. We will consider all suggestions but do not promise to do all those trips.
The senior exercise group has resumed at Wellness 24. It is on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays starting at 10:30 a.m. and lasting approximately 20 minutes. The exercises are very low impact with some minor stretching. It’s a great opportunity to get out of the house, socialize, and get a little exercise. Most of the exercises are chair exercises. This will help with your balance and coordination. If you need transportation, please call the Senior Center at 304-478-2423. We are pleased to say we have a couple more participants but would like more.
If you have not been vaccinated for the Covid- 19 and need a ride to get it, please call 304-478-2423 and we will provide transportation for you.
We are now taking names for a Christmas trip to Myrtle Beach November 30th through December 3rd. The cost is $550 per person based on double occupancy. The trip includes 3 nights at an ocean front hotel, 3 breakfasts, 3 wonderful dinners, and Christmas shows at the Alabama Theater and the Carolina Opry. There will be a 2 mile drive through with over 2 million lights. We will also have time at Broadway at the Beach and visit a living history farm where we will see what everyday life was like in the early 1900’s. The price includes all of the above with transportation, taxes, gratuities, and baggage handling. If interested, please call 304-478-2423 as soon as possible. Flyers will be available next week at the Senior Center. We will take a non-refundable (unless trip is cancelled) deposit to reserve your seats. We will collect 2 payments of $250 each which will be due August 19th and September 23rd.
