We are taking reservations for next year’s trips. The trips will be taken only if we have the minimum number of participants (usually 40). PLEASE, if you are interested in one of the trips, call 304-478-2423 as soon as possible so we know whether or not to continue with the planning. At this point we are not signing contracts until we know if the trip is going. We will set payment dates when we know if we have enough signed up. We only have about 8 people signed up for any of these trips.

The approximate prices are in parenthesis. The trips are:  Lancaster in July to see Moses ($550), to Berlin, Ohio for the Amish Land Cruise ($550) in September, and to Savannah and Charleston ($715) in early December for Christmas. We have already reserved tickets for Sight & Sound Theatre for July (around the 19th or 20th) to see “Moses.” We do not have an itinerary or exact pricing yet. We will let you know as soon as we decide. We are working on some shorter trips but they don’t take as long to plan as the longer ones do. We need to know immediately if you are interested in this trip.

Next week’s Menu: Mon: Macaroni & cheese with chicken, stewed tomatoes, broccoli, and pears. Tues.: Beans & wieners, buttered potatoes, corn bread, and cottage cheese with fruit. Wed.: Beef stir fry, vegetables, Brussel sprouts, and applesauce, Thurs: Chicken parmesan, carrots, and bread Fri.: Cook’s Choice

On Wednesdays after lunch, we will be having easy-to-do exercises at the Parsons Senior Center. These will be mostly chair exercises. If you feel there is an exercise you can’t do, just sit that one out. The main purpose of these Wednesday sessions is to get our bodies moving especially since at this time of year we spend a lot of time indoors. We will begin every Wednesday at approximately 12:00 noon and exercise for approximately 30 minutes. Please come and join us.

Thursday, January 19th is free lunch day at Mt. Top Center compliments of Davis Medical Center. They are also sponsoring a free lunch day at the Parsons Center on Friday, January 20th. We really appreciate the local businesses sponsoring these free meals for our seniors.
