The St. George monthly outpost of Senior Citizens was held on June 16, 2022 at the St. George United Methodist Church. Sharon Daniels welcomed everyone to the covered dish dinner. After the meal, Jane Pifer did a reading and Sharon shared several funny sayings. Barry Wendell who is running for congress in West Virginia in the new Second District as a democrat addressed the group.
Deborah Stiles played the piano for a sing-along of several well-known hymns and the group ended the day with a rousing “Country Roads.”
Those present included the above plus Carol Weinstein, Arlene Ramsey, Jean Myers, Doloris Propst, Joe Hample, Priscilla Flanagan, and Eleanor Nestor.
The Parsons Senior Center usually provides a van and seniors are always welcome to come, bring a covered dish, and bring a friend to the next gathering on July 21, 2022 at 6 p.m. at the St. George United Methodist Church for food, fun, and fellowship.
