Lancaster trip #2

We still need more people to sign up for this trip. PLEASE call as soon as possible if you are interested. It will be the same as the May trip. We will see “Esther”, see the British Invasion at the American Music Theater, visit the Kreider farm where they milk the cows on a large carousel, and visit Kitchen Kettle. The cost is $485.

TRIPS FOR 2020

The trips we are working on for 2020 are:

  1. June 30 & July 1—Pittsburgh Pirates, Gateway Clipper Luncheon Cruise, Heinz Museum, strip district shopping, and the Trolley Museum.  $285
  2. July 21 – 23—second trip to Lancaster to see “Esther”, visit Kreider Farm, and go to The American Movie Theater for a British Invasion show.  $485
  3. September 14—A visit to the churches in Cumberland, MD with the history of the area. This is a “Faith & Food” tour. We will be having a Jewish holiday breakfast, a lunch of ethnic German dishes, and an Italian dinner at Puccini’s restaurant. There will also be 2 musical performances and a visit to the Underground Railroad site. $170.
  4. August 12–We are also planning a trip to the Johnstown/ Altoona, PA area. This would be a train ride around the famous Horseshoe Curve, visits to the Boyer’s Candy Outlet, Benzel’s Pretzel Outlet, lunch, Horseshoe Curve Visitor’s Center, Railroader’s Memorial Museum and a wine tasting at Oak Spring Winery. This trip will have considerable walking and steps.  $185

The deadline to sign up for these trips is Friday, April 3, 2020. No reservation will be taken after that date. At that time we will determine if we take the trip or if we have to cancel. If you are interested in any of these trips, PLEASE call the Parsons Center at 304-478-2423 as soon as possible. We realize that some of them are not for several months but if we don’t get some deposits made for the buses and activities, we will need to cancel the trip. Most companies require some payment 6 to 8 months in advance.

For our Christmas trip, we have decided to do a New York and Philadelphia trip December 8th through the 12th. The cost of this trip will be $900. This is a 5 day/4night trip which includes 4 nights’ accommodations, 4 breakfasts, 2 dinners including one at a New York City restaurant, and the Holiday Show including the world-famous Rockettes. We will tour New York City, and the 911 Museum along with the 911 Memorial. In Philadelphia we will tour the city with a visit to Independence National Historical Park, Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, the Betsy Ross House and much more. We will visit the National Constitution Center where we can see “We the People” and visit the Reading Market Terminal, one of America’s largest and oldest public markets. The price includes taxes, gratuities, baggage handling and motor coach transportation. Please get your $75 nonrefundable deposit in as soon as possible. We already have 32 people on the list of those who may want to go.
