Due to the Coronavirus all activities at the Tucker County Senior Centers have been suspended until further notice.  The office staff is still working so that if our seniors need anything we are here to help.  We are still delivering meals to those in need.  If you see something on the menu that you really like call the day before or very early that morning and have them fix it for you.  You may then come to the back door and give your donation to the cooks who will hand you your meal.

At this point in time we are asking you to hold any trip payments until at least May 15.  Just put the money “in the cookie jar” until we are able to take payments again.  We are waiting for information from the tour company about the trip to Lancaster July 21-23.  We will let you know when we find out something.

Reminder About the Census Forms

The Census Bureau has sent out forms for you to register online at my2020census.gov.  It is very important that your register with the Census Bureau, it only takes minutes to fill out the form.  If you don’t have access to a computer, they will send a form in the mail.  If you do not send in your information, the Census Bureau will send someone to your house.  Make sure this person has proper identification before inviting them in.  The census is done every ten years and this determines what monies our county and state receive from the federal government for schools, roads and healthcare as well as how many representatives West Virginia will have in the House of Representatives.  It is extremely important that everyone participate so that we are treated fairly.
