TRAVEL NEWS

We are still taking names for the April 24th trip to Washington, PA to the Casino and Tanger Outlets. The cost is $55 per person. This payment will be collected on Thursday, March 9, 2017.
There are seats still available for the Pirates Baseball game on July 20, 2017. We have obtained excellent seats behind home plate. We realize this is several months away but if we don’t have more people to sign up, we will have to cancel the trip. If interested, please call the Parsons Center and get your name on the list before the seats fill up.
We have approximately 40 names on the list for a beach trip. We have begun to make plans for a trip to Myrtle Beach, SC September 10 through 15. This will include a stop in North Carolina on the way home. As soon as plans are finalized we will advertise the details. If you are interested, please call the Parsons Center at 304-478-2423 to add your name to the list. We will call people in the order of the list to confirm they are going with us.

QUILTERS AND SEWERS

The Senior Center quilters and sewers are working very hard on their new projects but they need more help. The quilters are working on a beautiful pink dahlia quilt and the sewers are piecing together a multicolored double wedding ring quilt top to be quilted when the dahlia is done. If you can help, especially with quilting, please come to the Parsons Center on Thursdays. They quilt after lunch, from noon until 2:00 p.m. and any help will be greatly appreciated. You might also want to come at 10:30 a.m. and hear our Goldenaires Choir sing and enjoy lunch and fellowship with us.

VETERAN’S REPRESENTATIVE IN PARSONS

The representative from the WV Department of Veteran’s Affairs is scheduled to be at the Parsons Center on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. If you have a concern, you can come speak with him in the downstairs office.
