We are continuing to take collections for the Christmas trip to Louisville, KY on November 27th – 30th. We still have some spaces available for this trip. If you were scheduled for the Myrtle Beach trip, we can roll over your funds from that trip to pay for this trip since the cost is the same. If you are interested, please call the Parsons Center at 304-478-2423. The next payment is due Thursday, October 5th.

THE COUNTRY STORE OPRY
The trip is full. The van will be leaving Mt. Top Center at 5:30 p.m. Please be on time.
FLANAGAN HILL OUTPOST
The next to the last monthly outpost will be held at Flanagan Hill on Wednesday, September 27th at noon. Bring your favorite covered dish and join us for a delicious meal and lots of fellowship.
SPEAKER ABOUT MEDICAID
There will be a representative from MAXIMUS at the Parsons Center at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 28th to give a brief talk on Managed Care Organizations. She will then be available to discuss your Medicaid coverage with you one-on-one if you have specific questions.
SHIP REPRESENTATIVE IN PARSONS
The SHIP representative will be at The Parsons Center on Thursday, September 28th to answer any questions you may have about your Medicare insurance and supplemental plans. Remember that the Open Enrollment is coming up soon. Please do not wait until the last minute to schedule an appointment. Please call 304-636-4747 to set up an appointment with the SHIP representative.
FLU SHOTS
The Tucker County Health Department will be holding a flu shot clinic at the First United Methodist Church in Parsons on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until noon.
They will be holding one at the Davis Fire Hall on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. You must be 18 years of age or older. If you have Medicare or insurance, please bring your card. You will not be charged any co-pay. If you don’t have insurance you can still receive a flu shot at no cost.
PARSONS CENTER OUTPOST
The Parsons Center will be holding their monthly outpost on Tuesday, October 3, 2017. We will begin promptly at 10:30 with our choir and our Breast Cancer Awareness program. We will later be entertained by the musical group “Barely Able.” This group, comprised of senior citizens from Tucker and Randolph counties, will be playing dulcimers and guitars. They took 1st place in the Senior Olympics in Keyser this year. Please bring your favorite covered dish and join in the fun and fellowship.
