Pre-School Story Time at Five Rivers Public Library
Will be on Wednesdays at 10 a.m. in October, November, and December. If no county school there will be no Pre-school story time. There will be a story, craft/game, video and snack. Pre-school age children and siblings welcome.
Monthly Fellowship Breakfast
The United Methodist Men of First United Methodist Church will have the monthly fellowship breakfast. This is the first one this fall season with the same cooks and crew. The menu will be sausage gravy and biscuits, home fries, eggs, juice and hot coffee. Everyone welcome.
This will be held Sunday, Oct. 1 at 8 a.m. Donations welcomed.
Adopt-A-Highway Cleanup
Adopt-A-Highway Cleanup will be 1 – 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30 for Camp 70 Road in Davis. Volunteers should meet at the Davis shopping plaza. Friends of Blackwater will provide garbage bags and gloves for volunteers.
Open House
Community Care Pharmacy will have an Open House Celebration from 2 – 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 27. Door prizes, giveaways, free health screenings and refreshments. Everyone welcome.
Yard Sale, Bake Sale & Hot Dog Sale
Friday, Oct. 6 from 9 am to7 pm; Saturday,Oct.7 from 9 am to 2 pm. Hosted by the Parsons Nazarene Women’s Ministries in the Nazarene Church fellowship hall. All proceeds will benefit a family in need.
Free Friday
Free Friday will be held at the First United Methodist Church September 29, beginning at 6 p.m.
A meal of soups, sandwiches, desserts and drinks will be served. Everyone is welcome.
Spaghetti Dinner
Spaghetti Dinner in Davis U.M. Church, in Thomas, on Saturday, Sept 30 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Dinner includes spaghetti w/sauce and meatballs, garlic bread, toss salad and fruit cocktail dessert. Price $7.00 and check out our cookie sale while you are picking up your dinner.
