MYRTLE BEACH TRIP
Due to bus UNavailability we will NOT be going in May. We are currently working on getting the trip set for September 9 – 14, 2018. We will let you know as soon as we can get more information.
SPECIAL PRESENTATION AT PARSONS CENTER
We will be having a special speaker to talk about nutrition on Thursday, January 4th. The West Virginia Extension Office will be providing a very informative session at 11:45 p.m.
MT. TOP BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION
We would like to have you join us on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 11:15 a.m. to honor those having birthdays in January. Please join us as we sing “Happy Birthday” and enjoy delicious cake provided by WV Caring.
LANCASTER, PA TRIP
We are planning a trip to Lancaster, PA to the Sight and Sound Theater to see their new production titled “Jesus.” The dates are July 9th to 11th. We don’t have a definite price yet but we will begin taking names on Wednesday, January 10th. If you are interested, call the Center at 304-478-2423 to have your name placed on the list. When we have the final details, we will call you in the order that is on the list to see if you are still interested.
PITTSBURGH PIRATE BASEBALL GAME
We will be setting up a trip to Pittsburgh to see the Pirates play the Chicago Cubs on August 1, 2018. This will be an overnight trip. Among the activities we want to include are a tour of the stadium, watching batting practice, watching the game, and doing some touring in the area. We have not finalized the plans yet so keep watching the newspaper for more details and a price.
QUILTING AND SEWING LADIES
December 28th was national Quilters Day. We took this opportunity to honor our quilters and sewers for all of their hard work. We thank them for their time and funds to support our Senior Centers. THANK YOU QUILTERS AND SEWERS!!
SWINGING TO THE MUSIC
Our “Swinging to the Music” classes will begin again next Wednesday, January 10th at noon. This is a low impact chance to get a little exercise on a cold wintry day. Please join us an participate as much or as little as you choose.
