SHIP NEWS
We remind you that the Tucker County Senior Center SHIP coordinator is usually in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Parsons Center. She is available to provide assistance to those with concerns regarding Medicare and Social Security issues and the Prescription Assistance Programs for those who qualify and do not have prescription insurance to obtain medications.
Ann is usually at the Mt. Top Senior Center on the mornings of the third Tuesday of each month. If you have concerns, please call the Senior Center and schedule a one-on-one appointment with Ann.
NON-EMERGENCY MEDICAL TRANSPORTATION
We once again remind you that the Senior Center offers non-emergency medical transportation for medical appointments and pharmacy visits. We cannot take clients to eat or shop. If you have any questions, please call Joyce Helmick at the Parsons Center at 304-478-2423.
TRAVEL NEWS
The Travel committee will be collecting payment # 5 for the November Pigeon Forge/Dollywood trip on Thursday, August 4, 2016 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. If you cannot come at this time, you may mail your payment or make other arrangements. There is a possibility that we may have some openings for this trip. If you are interested, please call the Parsons Center at 304-478-2423 and put your name on the list. If rooms become available you will be called in the order in which you called the Center.
The travel committee is taking names for a 1 day trip to Ligonier, PA on November 29, 2016. The trip will include a “Country Christmas” musical program, a buffet Christmas luncheon, and a trip to Greensburg, PA to see the Christmas lights at the fairground. The price will be $120.00 and we will be calling those who have put their names on the list in the near future. If you are interested, please call the Center at 304-478-2423 and get your name and phone number on the list.
