MOUNTAIN TOP OUTPOST
The Mountain Top Outpost of the Tucker County Senior Citizens will host their May monthly covered dish event on Tuesday, May 17. Please plan to come early and enjoy the music and singing of the Goldenaires Choir. The festivities are scheduled to begin at 1 0:30am.
Please bring your covered dish to make the day extra special, as we plan to have several guests for the occasion, and plan on a day of great food and fellowship.
WEST VIRGINIA DEARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS REPRESETATIVE
The representative from the W V Dept. of Veterans Affairs is scheduled to be at the Parsons Senior Center on Thursday, May 12 to assist clients with veteran benefits concerns. The office is located on the bottom floor of the Parsons Center. The scheduled hours are usually 9:30am – 2:00pm.
ANOTHER CHRISTMAS TRIP
The Travel Committee is considering a one-day Christmas Trip to Ligonier PA for a Country Music Christmas Show at the Ramada Inn. The trip will include a Christmas buffet, a visit and shopping time in charming historic Ligonier, a visit to the Overly’s Christmas Lights and Village, and more. The tentative date is November 29.
If you are interested in this trip please call or stop by the senior center and place your name on the list of interested people. Once the plans, pricing etc. are complete those on the list will have first choice to take the trip.
APPALACHIAN COMMUNITY HEALTH COMMUITY ENGAGMENT SPECIALIST CHANGE OF SCHEDULE
The Community Engagement Specialist from Appalachian Community Health is scheduled to be at the Parsons Senior Center the 2nd and 4th Tuesday and the 1st and 3,d Thursday of each month. The schedule for the Mountain Top Center in Thomas is the 1 st and 3’d Tuesday, of each month. The hours for all days are 1 :00 – 4:00pm.
