Free Friday

 

Free Friday will be held on September 25 at 6 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church pavilion in Parsons. A variety of soups and sandwiches will be served, along with dessert and drinks. Everyone is welcome.

 

Heart of the Highlands Trail System Stakeholder Meeting

 

The Annual Stakeholder meeting for Heart of the Highlands Trail System will be Wednesday, September 30 at 6 p.m. at the National Youth Science Center in Davis (previously the Canaan Valley Institute building). Anyone interested in trails in Tucker County is encouraged to attend. Stories for Kids

 

Saturday, September 26 in Davis, Voices From The Earth will present stories for kids and the young at heart on the grounds of Alpine Lodge at 10 a.m., noon, 2 and 3 p.m. Look for the big, yellow Voices From The Earth banner!

 

Monthly Sing

 

The monthly sing of the St. George United Methodist charge will be held this Saturday, September 26, at the Leadmine United Methodist Church at 7p.m.

 

Veterans fundraiser at Leaf Peepers Festival

 

The Veterans will be at the Leaf Peepers Festival in Davis on Saturday, September 26 from 10 a.m. till 3 p.m. selling their Italian sausage sandwiches. The Veterans will be located at the Davis Fire Hall.

There will be a Charity Cake Walk on Saturday, Sept. 26, at 6 p.m., to benefit Community Action, on the Courthouse Square.

 

 

Homemade Chicken Pot Pies

 

The Hambleton Methodist Church will have a homemade chicken pot pie dinner Saturday, Oct. 26 from 4 – 7 p.m. in the church basement. Menu will be chicken pot pie, salad, dessert and drink; $8 adults, $5 children under 10. Benefit for the Church Building Fund. Everyone Welcome, carry-outs available.

 

PRO ON TRAC meeting

 

PRO ON TRAC meeting will be on Monday, August 28, at 6:30 p.m. in Parsons City Hall

Saturday, September 26, at the community building in Red Creek, at 1 p.m. with a Roast Beef Dinner, activities for all ages throughout the day, and a cake walk beginning at 6:30 p.m.
