Ides of March Birdwalk- Saturday, March 15 at 8 am. Which birds are braving late winter snow squalls in Canaan Valley? Come along with ornithologist Casey Rucker on this birdwalk to find out. Meet at the Refuge Visitor Center at 6263 Appalachian Highway, Davis (Canaan Valley). Dress for the weather and in layers. Wear comfortable shoes or hiking boots. Bring binoculars or use a pair of ours. NOTE: If the weather is snowy and windy, or roads are impassable, the walk will be postponed until the next day at the same time. If bad weather continues into the next day, the walk will be cancelled.
